Two and a half years ago, I was a member of the Napster forum called "Speak Out". That was the first time I got into participating at bulletin boards.
There was a member with a username of "Hank Liddell" who had a site set up, to the best of my memory http://ga.to/children called "Children's questions about Napster". It was a condescending approach to teaching people about the evils of filesharing. Interesting that the site still seems to be working, because it showed a 403 error, but the whois (http://www.tonic.to) information doesn't give me much to go by. Tonga (.to) domains are one of the few that have no rules and regulations, as you can see by this listing at register.com:

The RIAA and its supporters had members post in the Napster bulletin board in order to sway public opinion. It was an act of lobbying and public relations on their part. Sometimes quotes from those bulletin boards made it into news articles. Doing a search just now for "Hank Liddell" brought up an old article (http://news.com.com/2100-1023_3-253561.html) from March 2001 with a quote that the user had made in the bulletin board.
The user "Hank Liddell" seemed to post about sixteen hours a day, and displayed varying moods. I thought it was many users of the RIAA lobbying crew using one username and working in shifts. I also thought it might be representatives of Metallica.
One place today where I still see this obviously active effort of lobbying on p2p boards by the RIAA fanboys, is on the Slyck (http://www.slyck.com/forums/) site. Guests are allowed to post on that site.
Today I was reading through a forum guide in PeerGuardian called The Anti File Sharing Groups, a summary guide to anti p2p goons (http://www.peerguardian.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=114). It is very detailed in the information. I was impressed by how much information they had on Mark Ishikawa, who is the CEO of BayTSP (http://www.baytsp.com/). I noticed in all that information that he has an FAA license. Then I started wondering if Mark Ishikawa was the same person who used to post as "Hank Liddell" back in the Napster forum. And one thing to add to that suspicion, is how one time he referred to Los Angeles airport as "LAX". Someone using terminology like that sounds to be a person who flies a lot or works with airplanes. This is a listing of the codes for airports:
