If you are already a registered member, when you go into your user control panel and change your email address here (http://www.3-3-3.org/forum/profile.php?do=editpassword), the forum will immediately change you from the usergroup of being a full registered member to being a user awaiting email confirmation. It will continue to be that way until you confirm your email address by way of clicking the link that is sent to you automatically from the forum. If you are using the default titles of the forum then your title will change to "awaiting email confirmation". But otherwise you will retain your custom title while the forum awaits for an email confirmation from you. When you are awaiting email confirmation, your view of the board and posting abilities will be limited. You will still be able to edit your profile. Your name will not be displayed on the Members's List (http://www.3-3-3.org/forum/memberlist.php) either. If you find that the email you used was not correct, then you can change it to a different one. If you change it to a different one, the newest version in the records is the only one that needs to be confirmed.

Sometimes you never receive your confirmation email and it needs to be resent. It would be nice if there was a "resend validation email" feature, but I've only seen that on Invision Power Board. In order to achieve the same effect here, you would have to edit your email and password twice: first to something fictitious (email@3-3-3.org would work), and then again to the original desired email account.

See this thread at vBulletin forums:

There is a way for you to resend your validation email if you don't get it the first time. Visit this link to do so, and select Email Activation Codes:

I took over this domain name here called fl@x0r because it seemed like you had implemented some valid new security measure or something to prevent this from happening but apparently not as it did not work and did nothing to alert you that this account was being stolen.

SwatProteus the only valuable thing to come out of this little exercise was this link I found contained in a pm to this url
http://swatit.org/bots/gtbot.html the user had sent you.

edit I forwarded a copy of this Pm to Dollar_Girl so don't even try to deny that this link was sent to you.
