HTTrack (http://www.httrack.com/) is a free (GPL, libre/free software) and easy-to-use offline browser utility.

It allows you to download a World Wide Web site from the Internet to a local directory, building recursively all directories, getting HTML, images, and other files from the server to your computer. HTTrack arranges the original site's relative link-structure.
FileForum review (http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail.php3?fid=1014301003)

I was looking for a program to save entire websites to a hard drive and found this one. It worked pretty well when I scanned the archive (http://www.3-3-3.org/forum/archive/index.php) of our site here. It saved the entire forum in 427 html files taking the space of 4 MB. Each html file is for one of the threads in the Public Forums. This ought to be a useful way of archiving old dead forums from the past.

What type of program is this called, and are there any others that are recommended? I was trying to search for "web archiver" but I didn't find the best terminology to describe this program.
