Mine is Will Ferrell. I've been downloading some of his works as Harry Carey.
The one where he interviews the Unibomber fucking tears me up. You gotta go download em. Another good one is the "Space, The Infinite Frontier".

SNL, and then Old School.......fucking hilarious.
Yo, most all of them are good, but Ferrell just kills me every time.

dude, i so do not dig snl. that shit ain't funny at all. one that was ok, was with robert deniro, dressed as peter pan. now that was worthwhile.

Yeah, some of the skits suck, I consider them "filler" to the good stuff. But Ferrell rocks as far as I am concerned.
So, Dollar, what kind of comedy rocks your world?

Dollar_Girl
2004-09-13, 08:48
you know dude, when it comes to shit on tv, you just can't beat seinfeld. Think back to Elaine, high on pain killers screaming *STELLLAAAA!!!!!* *STELLLLAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!*

When SNL goes on cable here, i don't laugh at it out loud. to me something is funny when i actually laugh out loud, instead of saying to myself "that was funny".

Sometimes i like witty comedy and sometimes i like really really stupid comedy. Whatever is good for a laugh, you know?

Speaking of Seinfeld, remember when Elaine had that dance of hers? lol, now that was hilarious. And for me, when I listened to the "Harry Carey" skits, I'll tell ya, I was howling out load. Good thing I was alone, or I would have looked pretty funny.

*edit*...Well, I see you're in Australia. What time is it there? I can tell you're busy from the length it takes for you to respond. Guess it's just you and me. I can't find the times when all of you are on. I work some crazy hours and start work at 6:30 pm til 5:00 am, so I'm up at this time on the weekends.
I get Fridays off, making a nice long weekend every weekend. So that kind of makes up for the long hours.

Dollar_Girl
2004-09-13, 09:03
yeah dude, i remember the dance. i think that episode was called 'little kicks'. when the seinfeld marathon was on, i took days off to watch that. I mean c'mon... 15 hours of seinfeld a day? and i still wasn't sick of it.

This will ferrel isn't really known in australia. If it wasn't for cable nobody would have ever heard of the guy.

and hey, u ever seen absolutely fabulous? i love a couple of shrivelled up hags with cigarettes hanging out of their mouthes. too cool.

Hey, look at my edit above, maybe you missed it. Just wondering about the time there, cause if you're up at this time, so am I. Like I said I can see you're busy, and I'm gonna get off. Hope to talk to ya later. And I'll catch your response tomorrow. Thanks for the company!

Will Ferrell is my favorite from SNL. On Saturday nights I used to watch Mad TV and I found it funnier than SNL. The part of the comedy shows I don't like is when the the musicians play. SNL is pretty old and I remember being a kid and not being allowed to stay up to watch it. It used to be funnier in the past than now.

I don't watch much TV. My wife likes to watch those shows though and she laughs a lot from them. It's harder for me to watch stuff like that and find it funny. We've watched a couple of movies with Will Ferrell in them. One was A Night at the Roxbury and the other was Old School.

My wife liked to watch Seinfeld and a newer show Curb Your Enthusiasm. But we stopped getting HBO.

it is only 6.20 pm here on a monday night.

At the same time here it is 04:20 Monday morning. It's amazing to me how different it must be for you, as you've already had your Monday. I think of Australia as being towards the southeast of me but actually most of it is to the southwest of me because the western part is 14 hours ahead of me.

I look out now in the sky and see Venus rising in the east and Orion in the sky. Orion is a Winter constellation so seeing it is like seeing the end of Summer. I remember being in Senegal and lying in a pool at night looking straight up at Orion. That was odd because it was a Winter constellation for me. It must be so different being in Australia and having all the constellations upside down traveling from right to left in the sky.

thats weird ay, just yesterday i was looking up at the stars thinking that scorpius has moved nearly out of sight, meaning that orion is just behind it, which for me signifies warmer weather. Orion makes its apperance late october/early november.
I think the curves of scorpius are sexy and erotic. If you follow the curves of the tale, there is something strangely thrilling about it.

and dude...if your up at 4.20am in the morning, no wonder ur popping caffine pills to keep u going. what gives?

On Saturday nights I used to watch Mad TV and I found it funnier than SNL.

Should have mentioned Mad TV, cause I also find it funnier than SNL, at one point anyhow, but some of the better comedians have left. I've just been on a Ferrell kick with the downloading. You gotta download some of this stuff. Good to see another Ferrell fan!

lol the 'masturbation thread' has had some effect, I see.

You got me there, dude. Good one.

And yes, the english have some good shit. Will have to check out that movie sometime. Nah, didn't hit the hay til 7:00 and now I'm just up and gonna get ready for work. Only thing about 10 hour days, is that it doesn't leave much time for anything else, except working and sleeping. Can't wait til Friday already.

married with children was a class act

lately I have been getting into some stupid cartoons, like aqua teens, sealab 2021, still love family guy and futurama, the brak show, harvey birdman, space ghost, venture brothers and witch hunter robin

yeah, pretty much the whole adult swim lineup, minus most the japanime

that new show, um, rescue me, with dennis leary, is a really good show too, not really comedy, more of a drama, but good.

No offense to anyone, especially any Brits, but most of the english dudes I see, seem pretty fruity all the time. Unless, of course we are talking Monty Python, those brits are pretty cool.

I like watching that, something "Laugh" on the comedy channel. Forget the name. They show lots of different comedians. Even some from down under. I love comedy, period.

my mother used to say it about food
(and a few other "wise" words i will not mention here lol)
but i said i just know what i do and do not want

we come to conclusions for reasons
lack of respect for others opinions at this level we shrug it off but higher up and more inportant ideas it becomes bloodshed

i watched The yin-yang masters lastnight on sbs
a japanese film that was so very well done
ill have to find out some more about it
