Was just over at Slyck to check for any info on es5. Read, there is (supposed) to be a new beta out. You can go read up on it yourself.

The current version is 3.53. WinMX 3.60 is not out yet. That is just the title of a thread in the forum at Slyck.

Yeah, I know, Eclectica, it was sort of a pun, I suppose. You know, like it will ever really come out. lol.
I have a feeling it will soon. I think it is the finale to what took so long in the first place. To me, it never really feels too different. I just download music. I don't use the chats. That seems to be the big effort in the revamps.

The only reason that the latest version of WinMX was released, was that the developer felt threatened by someone's announced project to create an open source WinMX called "OpenMX". Otherwise expect it to be several years before the next version is released.

That's okay, I'm happy with the one I have. If not, I'm sure I'll check out some of the ones you guys have mentioned. Good info, where did see it?
