View Full Version : we've moved to Canada

2006-03-29, 11:13
Some time around March 19th, this site moved from a server in New Jersey to a server located in Scarborough (East Toronto) in Ontario, Canada. The new IP address of the site is The server address is storm.myrealserver.com, and you can view the server configuration settings at the info.php (http://www.3-3-3.org/info.php) page. There is also a netstatus (http://www.f5hosting.com/netstatus/) page which shows the status of the server. This site is running on the server named Storm.

F5 Hosting has been acquired by My Virtual Hosting (http://www.myvirtualhosting.com/), which is owned by David Baker. There is an announcement about that which can be read here (http://www.f5hosting.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1644).

I pay monthly for the site here and it would be easy enough to move the site to another webhoster if there were problems. So far it seems that the site has been running even better than before the acquisition, and that the new owner is on top of things with providing support. F5 Hosting was one of the recommended webhosters by users at vBulletin forums. Other recommended webhosters there are A Small Orange (http://www.asmallorange.com/) and Real Web Host (http://www.realwebhost.net/).
