I wanted to have a nice long visit with Jan and her sisters when I came east in June 1999, but wound up having to see Jan in a couple of rushed stop-bys, and didn't get to see her sisters at all.
Here she is in her back yard with Dylan, who was born on February 19,1998. It was nice to see her and her family -- but why does life have to consist of rushed stop-bys?

Austin in June 1999. When Jan told him I might be coming for a visit, Austin said, "Mom! He's not coming for a visit! He's coming home!" And that's what it felt like, too.
